Based upon a review of the toxicity data and commercial use record, the U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventative Medicine (USACHPPM) has granted toxicity certification (clearance) for SW-2, an aqueous cleaning solution used in the ChemFree SmartWasher system.

The ChemFree system is an alternative to hydrocarbon-based solvents presently used by the Department of Defense installations for maintenance and repair activities.

Toxicity clearance was previously granted by USACHPPM for ChemFree's SW-1. SW-2 is a free-flowing, non-colored fluid that contains a higher concentration of non-ionic surfactant and a higher concentration of emulsifiers than SW-1.
