OzzyJuice

OzzyJuice: A Certified Clean Air SolventOjbad.gif (5590 bytes)

ChemFree's OzzyJuice is gentle enough to use as a hand cleaner, yet can clean even your grimiest parts. In fact, in field tests under actual working conditions, OzzyJuice has consistently been rated equal to or better than traditional, potentially hazardous cleaners.

OzzyJuice is a PH-neutral mixture of emulsifiers and surfactants that contains very low volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phosphates, formaldehyde, biocides or solvents. This mixture is blended in a liquid form to produce a biodegradable, nontoxic, noncaustic and nonhazardous oil dispersant and degreaser.  OzzyJuice contains no known carcinogens, no OSHA or DOT regulated chemicals, no ingredients requiring SARA Title reporting, no RCRA hazardous waste chemicals, and no items on the CERCLA hazardous substances list.

A Different Way of Cleaning

OzzyJuice cleans differently than, but just as effectively as, mineral spirits. Mineral spirits only dissolve the top layer of oil, without ever removing all the oil from the part. OzzyJuice separates grease from your part so "chunks" slide off -- light brushing or rinsing completes the process.

Mineral spirits and traditional cleaners work by suspending oil, grease and other contaminants, which causes the solvent to become dirtier and less effective the more it is used. OzzyJuice, on the other hand, retains its consistency over time without requiring disposal under normal use conditions.

Remember, the goal is to clean the part, not just dissolve surface oil! After cleaning parts with OzzyJuice, some users are surprised to see large chunks of grease remaining in the basin, until we point out that the grease is no longer on the part. The part itself is clean; the oil will later be washed down into the Smartwasher tank and converted to biodegradable substances through bioremediation.

Can I mix the various OzzyJuice formulas in the SmartWasher?

While any versions of OzzyJuices are compatible, they are not synergistic.  In other words, if you add SW-3 to a SmartWasher full of SW1 hoping to boost the cleaning power of SW-1, the 15 gallons of existing SW-1 characteristics will overwhelm the 5 gallons of SW-3, and there will be no noticeable change in the solution’s cleaning ability.  Over time, as more and more SW-3 is added to the SW-1, the SW-3 characteristics will eventually begin to dominate the solution. Similarly, SW-1 added to a tank full of SW-3 would not significantly change the SW-3 cleaning power at first.

How do I dispose of OzzyJuice?

New and Unused OzzyJuice

Because of its minimal environmental impact, new / unused OzzyJuice can be diluted with water and flushed into a sanitary.

Used OzzyJuice

Used fluid will contain contaminants such as oil and grease in residual amounts that need to be disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

ChemFree recommends that used fluid be processed through an oil-water separator in order to trap any residues of inorganic and organic contaminants. If no oil-water separator is available, dispose of the used fluid in the same way you would normally treat oil dispersant fluids.
