Here are a few simple questions when trying to determine what model
the machine is:
Determining Electronic (05,08) or Manual
(15,18,15c,25,28,25c)
1, Do you turn it on from push buttons on the front or a toggle
switch on the side?
- If push
buttons, it's an electric. If a toggle switch, then it's a manual
Determining between Manual Model 1 or Model 2
- Does it say 'Model 2' below the toggle switch OR have a clear
covered control box (as opposed to a black covered control box). If so, it's a
Model 2; if not, it's a model 1.
Determining version of Model 1 machine
1, Facing the machine, is the toggle switch on the right or left
side?
- If on left, it'll be a 6" or 8" box w/ thermostat switch.
2, (If box is on right side) Is there a reset button on the box?
- If it
has a reset button on the box, it'll be an 8" box w/ thermostat switch.
- If no reset button, it's a 12" box w/ a Temp Level Controller.
3, (If box is on right and is 12" box) Behind the control box (on side of
machine) is there a smaller box?
- If so, this machine has the ferrite rings w/ a line filter.
Determining Model 2 (4-LED) or Model 2 (5-LED) machine
- Inside the control box you find blinking Light Emitting Diodes.
