Call for pricing

Test kits are used by customers to collect specimens and return to ChemFree for analysis. A dip slide is provided to test the vigor of the Ozzy colony; a specimen jar is provided for OzzyJuice. Both pieces should be returned for analysis. The OzzyJuice will be tested for pH and oil and grease (if requested) by ChemFree’s Analytical Chemist. Results will be returned to the customer in a written report. Testsam2.jpg (10566 bytes)

Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP)

TCLPs are performed by an EPA-certified laboratory on used OzzyMats to determine if there are any toxic materials that would leach (leak) out of the OzzyMat and into the groundwater after being placed in a landfill. Substances tested for vary -- see chart below for more details. The metals only TCLP is the test most commonly required for EPDs. Results are stated in milligrams per liter (parts per million). Regulatory limits vary per substances -- limits will be provided with reported test results.

Properly used and maintained OzzyMats have consistently scored well below the federal EPA guidelines for tested substances.

Oil & Grease (O&G) Analysis

The O&G analysis is performed by an EPA-certified laboratory on used OzzyJuice to determine the amount of residual oil and grease particles remaining in the fluid after a certain amount of time.  Results are stated in parts per million (e.g. 1200 parts of grease per 1 million parts of water).
